Situated on 600 feet of remote shoreline on the breathtaking Sechelt Inlet, Backeddy Resort and Marina is the perfect location for your wedding, elopement or special event. We provide unique and flexible accommodations – with both individual cabins, inn rooms and geodesic domes, there is plenty of space for all of your friends and family to have a comfortable stay. Our sweet spot for private events is approximately 50 people. We can accommodate up to 50 overnight guests, 50 guests for banquet events and up to 75 guests for a standing cocktail reception. Our Chef Mike Denomey and his culinary team are eager to cater to your specific needs and provide your guests with an oceanside feast to remember.

Events & Retreats
The Backeddy Resort & Marina provides a unique setting for any event or retreat. We encourage all types of celebration, from birthdays to family reunions and stags & stagettes. With a large open lawn, fire pits, waterfront cabins, an inn and geodesic domes, there is plenty of space for all of your guests to kick back and relax.
If your group is the adventurous type, we have mountain bikes for rent, great hiking trails, and the world-famous Skookumchuck Narrows nearby for surfing. We have previously hosted Wonderlight Yoga Retreats, Mindfulness retreats and Weaving retreats at the Backeddy. We are perfectly situated to host the special event that allows your guests to unplug, recharge, and refocus. Let the Backeddy Resort become your private getaway for all your friends and family, with private access to our facilities, including all 7 vintage cabins, 2 luxury waterfront cabins, 6 inn rooms, 5 geodesic domes, the decks, our beach and forest. Unwind with your family and friends beside the oceanside fire pit just outside the cabins and create memories of a lifetime under the stars. Invite your party to take a scenic boat tour of nearby waterfalls, or a group kayak straight from our dock, complete with provided picnic lunches for a shorelunch. Or simply join together to take in the view from our oceanfront patio. Nestled between lush west coast forest and beautiful blue ocean, we are cozy enough for an intimate wedding ceremony or elopement.
