Chef Mike Denomey consistently delights guests and locals alike with his West Coast-inspired menu offerings. Originally from the small town of Stoney Point Ontario, he began cooking at the young age of 15 and was immediately hooked to the fast-paced rush of kitchen life. Mike began his career at the Culinary Arts program at St. Clair College in Windsor, Ontario and once graduated, he headed for the West Coast.
He spent much of his working life in Whistler and earned his Red Seal and Certificate of Apprenticeship, honing his skills as a talented and reputable chef. He became a Sunshine Coast local and joined the Backeddy crew in 2018.
